Weak Jobs Data Boost Likelihood of Rate Cut

Countrywide to Cut up to 12,000 Jobs
Countrywide plans to reduce its work force by as many as 12,000 jobs, or 20%. The largest U.S. home-mortgage lender sees its loan originations in 2008 dropping 25%.
